It is so exciting and thoughtful to receive a handwritten note on beautiful stationery. When you see a handwritten envelope in your mail, it’s the first thing you open. People still enjoy receiving cards and notes that are handwritten. It makes one feel so special and appreciated and can make their day. Keep encouraging people to send handwritten letters, notes and cards, especially with Crane’s stationery and written with a fountain pen!!!

I love writing notes to friends and to my children. I imagine their smiles when they receive a note on lovely paper. Sometimes I enclose a dried flower. It means you care and you have spent time thinking of them. Thank you notes are the most important. My mom would not let me play with a gift until I wrote the thank you. I have tried to instill these ideas in my children but with technology , it seems to be a losing battle. Oh well, I will keep writing.

My name is David Rose.
I am 82 living in assisted care. In the 1960s I was the manager of the stationary department in the Los Angeles I Magnin on Wiltshire Boulevard. All of our weddings were Crane!
There was a particular time that I was in Massachusetts and I was allowed to visit your factory. I actually had my own: DAVID PHILIP ROSE ecru cards. Could you please send me some Crane samples (including currency) that I could show my new friends and talk about my past.

Writing letter is a turning into a lost art. Thanks to email, texting, and of course the telephone and cell phone. I love to write letters to everyone I know. I appreciate the post “Ten Rules for Letter Writing”. Job well done!

Writing thank you notes for gifts you receive or kindness to me is very important . I have tried to instill in my grand children how special it is to receive a thank you note, not a text or email for a gift received.
